The time has come...

Well, it has been quite a while since I last posted...  I know, I'm slacking, but it's summer!

Today, I'm posting my very first lesson and activity.  For what subject you ask?  Math, of course!!!

This lesson/activity was taken from the About Teaching Mathematics book by Marilyn Burns.  I'm really trying to have a workshop approach to my math teaching this year.  So, I have written my first week math lessons, and here is number one!

If you teach in the state of Texas, this lesson covers TEKS 3.6(A)...  It's called "Looking for Patterns"!

Here's what you get:
  1. Flipchart for Mini-Lesson (used ActivInspire for Promethean Board)
  2. 1-100 Grid Paper (Independent Practice)
  3. Coloring 1-100 Patterns (Small-Group or Workstation Activity)
Enjoy...  I should be posting other subject-area activities soon!  I'm adding finishing touches this week.
